He’s the Australian cricket legend who has forged a career surprising people both on the pitch and away from it.
And Shane Warne has surprised again, this time appearing as Fatboy Slim in a bizarre YouTube advertisement for the seminal UK DJ’s upcoming EP, Fatboy Slim Vs Australia.

Odd: Shane Warne has starred as Fatboy Slim in a bizarre YouTube advertisement for the seminal electro producer’s upcoming EP Fatboy Slim Vs Australia
Among the landmarks featured are Uluru and Victoria’s Brighton Pier – a hammy reference to Fatboy Slim’s home town of the same name in the UK.
‘Hello, I am international DJ superstar, yes superstar Fatboy Slim, coming to you from Brighton, Great Britain. I’m here to tell you about my latest album Fatboy Slim Vs Australia,’ Shane said.
The ‘King of Spin’ was also shown as a ‘bobble-headded’ Fatboy Slim, badly superimposed behind a set of turntables.
The video was not without its cheesy puns either, with Shane delivering a raft of ‘dad jokes’ at a lightning pace.

‘Australia’s known for two things – brilliant electronic music and brilliant leg spinners,’ Shane declared. ‘Promising Australian artists have put their spin on my classics.’
Shane then takes the viewer through the artists who contributed to the EP, including the Kite String Tangle and Canberra-based duo The Aston Shuffle who remix Fatboy’s classic Sunset (Bird Of Prey)
In describing the track Shane even hinted that he could be looking towards one day running the country.

‘Sunset has been remixed by one of Canberra’s top two duos, The Aston Shuffle,’ Shane declared.
‘I haven’t been to the nation’s capital for a while but when I decide to run for Prime Minister, I’ll pop in and see the boys.’
In another cringeworthy moment, Shane claims that Sydney-based duo Carmada’s rendition of Right Here Right Now was ‘hotter than an Indian curry.’
To round out the video, Shane revealed that the album would be available at music retail chain Brashs which went into receivership in 1998 forcing the closure of all 105 stores around the country.
