Shane Warne’s youngest daughter Summer announces her shock new career move

Shane Warne’s youngest child Summer has announced an exciting new career move.

On Wednesday, the 22-year-old revealed she’s making her acting debut in an upcoming film that’s currently in production.

Taking to social media, Summer shared a moment of her sitting in front of the camera and speaking to a co-star at what appears to be a party.

The film, titled Navigating Juvenescence, tells the story of a group of Aussie high-school students who are attempting to navigate their final days before graduation, according to their Instagram page.

It is written and directed by Mitchell Law and features several young up-and-coming actors.

Summer previously opened up about the struggles of growing up in the public eye after appearing on Masked Singer Australia.

Speaking to Yahoo Australia, the young woman detailed what it was like to live with the fame of her late father and said that she never wanted to be a celebrity like her cricket star dad.

‘I never asked to be in this life. And I think it was just very hard growing up in an environment where your whole life is kind of on screen,’ she explained.

‘And if Dad made a mistake, it would reflect on me. And, you know, I thought people were looking at me differently.’

She continued: ‘But at the end of the day, Dad was who he was, and I loved him. And you know, he couldn’t do wrong in my eyes, he’s my dad and I love him to bits.’

Summer is the youngest child of legendary cricketer Shane, who died suddenly from a suspected heart attack aged 52 on March 4, 2022, while on holiday in Thailand.

Along with her siblings Brooke, 26, and Jackson, 25, Summer established The Shane Warne Legacy foundation in 2023, which provides free heart disease checks to all Australians.

Shane is considered one of the finest cricketers in history after claiming 708 Test wickets at 25.41 in 145 matches between 1992 and 2007.

His family marked the two-year anniversary of his death in March, with his children paying tribute to their late father in a series of emotional posts.

Brooke shared a number of heartwarming pictures of herself with the cricket great alongside a touching message.

She penned: ‘2 years today Dad. It’s been the slowest and quickest 2 years without you.

‘I feel like you were here being silly with us and talking about how good the new season of Peaky Blinders is and we will watch the next episode together when you come home.

‘Life really doesn’t make sense without you here. We try and do you proud every day. I miss you, I love you forever.’

Jackson re-shared a post uploaded by the Shane Warne Legacy Instagram account with a caption that read: ‘Today marks the second year since Shane left us, but the legacy he leaves lives on stronger than ever.

‘His presence is deeply missed, but his spirit and impact will forever be cherished and remembered. Rest in peace, Shane. You are loved and missed every day.’
