Shania Twain rocks the red carpet in bold gold dress in NY

She’s known for her bold fashion choices.

But Shania Twain, 52, took things to the next level with a long-sleeved gold dress featuring a large bow around the neck while walking the red carpet for America’s Got Talent in New York on Wednesday.

The Man! I Feel Like a Woman singer paired the interesting choice with a pair of thigh high boots with glitter all over them.

She opted to wear fishnet stockings under the boots for the small section of her legs that peeped out the bottom of the shapeless dress.

The country star, who is set to release her first album in almost 15 years, wore her caramel hair in layers around her shoulders and had it feathered out in a Farrah Fawcett style.

She wore dark makeup around her eyes and opted for neutral lipstick to bring out her naturally gorgeous features.

She completed the odd red carpet look with matching gold earrings.

Shania has a new album, Now, due out at the end of this month. She took an extended hiatus to deal with Lyme disease, which she acquired from a tick bite during her Up! Tour back in 2002.

The singer described the impact the disease had on her life and how it led to her hiatus in a recent interview with Access Hollywood.

‘I had to be treated, and there were a lot of very scary symptoms that came with that. So over night, all of a sudden, I just had a lot of problem controlling the quality of my voice, sound, pitch, everything.’

‘I just thought I needed a break. I took a break, and I enjoyed just being at home being a mom and nesting, thinking that with rest my voice would come back.’

Shania said she had ‘achieved the impossible’ by making her new album, ‘because seven years ago I really couldn’t sing at all.’

Shania also recently revealed that she will be going on tour next year. Now is scheduled for release September 29.
