Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador has separated from her husband of 17 years, David Beador.
The couple, who have three daughters together; Sophie, 15, and twins Stella and Adeline, 12, split just over a month ago.
PEOPLE reports the 53-year-old reality star revealed the news to her co-stars on Friday during filming of the season 12 reunion show.

‘It’s heartbreaking for me and my daughters that this is the road that had to be taken but it’s the only way,’ she told the website.
‘I felt alone in my marriage. You can do what you can to keep your family together, but you have to have willing parties. You need two people to make a marriage work, and that just wasn’t happening in our relationship.’
Their relationship issues have been well-documented in the Bravo show.
Shannon confessed during season 10 that David, 52, had been unfaithful, something she found out just days before filming.

In 2015 Dailymail.com exclusively revealed that David had an eight-month affair with Orange County resident Nicole McMackin, 45, who was also married.
The duo enjoyed secret hotel trysts in and around Newport Beach, California.
After the affair came to light Shannon and David tried to mend their relationship and went to see a therapist together for marriage counselling.
They even renewed their marriage vows in August 2016.
At the time Shannon gushed: ‘After all that David and I have been through, to be able to renew our vows? It’s something that I didn’t think would ever happen,’
She added, ‘It just reinforces that all the choices that I made to fight for our marriage and keep our family together. That was the right decision.’

David had surprised his wife with a birthday party and vow ceremony at the the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe, the place they married and where he also proposed.
To add to her troubles, Shannon revealed earlier this year that she was struggling with 40lb weight gain caused by the stress of her co-star Vicki Gunvalson making allegations during season 11 that David ‘beat the s*** out of’ Shannon.
‘That stress caused me to eat more, caused me to drink more, and that’s a huge part of why I gained my weight,’ she admitted on the show, while denying that her husband was ever physically abusive towards her.
Shannon admitted to her friends that the extra weight ‘disgusted’ David and created a wedge in her marriage.

Her husband had apparently become distant over the past year, choosing to spend time in the gym rather than be with family leading up to the split.
‘This is not the path that I thought that I would be taking,’ Shannon told PEOPLE while opening up about the separation.
‘To come from the highest of the highs last year to go to such a low so quickly? At the beginning when it starts to crumble, you think, “This is just a phase. It’ll get better.” But it never did.’
The duo have been working together to co-parent their three children since the split and get together for weekly dinners.
‘We are doing our best to be amicable for our children,’ she said.
