BREAKING NEWS: NBA legend Shawn Kemp held in connection with an alleged drive-by shooting in Tacoma

Six-time NBA All-Star Shawn Kemp is being held in Pierce County jail in connection with a drive-by shooting near the Tacoma Mall in Washington.

The Seattle SuperSonics legend, 53, was detained by cops at 5:58pm on Wednesday, just hours after he was involved in an altercation between two cars near a shopping mall.

A police report revealed that the altercation led to shots being fired in a parking lot in the 4500 block of South Steele Street, near the Courtesy Tire store.

Police said nobody was hurt in the shooting, but that Kemp – initially identified as a 53-year-old man and later named in the report – was held at the scene.

The incident occurred shortly before 2pm, and a gun was recovered at the scene.
