Sheffield United claimed three valuable points as Chris Wilder secured his first victory since returning to the Blades in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Brentford.

James McAtee opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time as Sheffield United finally capitalised after creating a series of chances in the first 45 minutes.

The hosts were then able to hold on throughout the second-half to claim their first win under the returning Wilder and just their second of the season in the Premier League.

However, victory wasn’t enough for them to lift themselves off the bottom of table with Burnley’s draw at Brighton moving both teams onto eight-points.
