Q My under-eyes have taken a turn for the worse, with deepening lines and a crepey texture. Can anything stop this?

A In the wake of the popular Profhilo, more and more injectable moisturisers are hitting the market.

The latest have added ‘bio-stimulating’ ingredients that allow them to not just deeply hydrate and plump out skin, but work on stimulating collagen production for long-term wrinkle-smoothing, too.

Sunekos, which contains a blend of hyaluronic acid and amino acids, helps generate collagen as well as elastin and is the first of its kind that can be used anywhere on the face including the under-eyes.

Cosmetic physician Dr Sarah Tonks (thelovelyclinic.com) says it’s her most popular under-eye treatment. You must be prepared, she says, for four sessions of at least three injections under each eye, two weeks apart, each followed by two to five days of significant swelling.

But she says it leads to ‘a real improvement in lines and crepiness, brightening of dark circles and slightly thicker skin’.

At £395 per session (less outside London) and top-ups suggested twice or even thrice annually, it’s not cheap but results will actually improve over time as the collagen regeneration sets in.
