Shirtless Orlando Bloom, 46, displays his washboard abs as he soaks up the sun in Cannes

Orlando Bloom enjoyed some down time in Cannes, France on Saturday.

The shirtless actor displayed his washboard abs in navy swim shorts as he soaked up the sun during his stay at the hotel Eden Roc Cap d’Antibes.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star, 46, showed off his buff physique while cooling off after diving into the sea.

Orlando’s athletic abilities were clear to see as he had fun in the sunshine, climbing up a rope ladder to sit on the swing of a jungle gym. 

The father-of-two is at Cannes Film Festival to promote his new movie, Gran Turismo, which follows the true story of a young video game prodigy who turned into a race car driver.

The upcoming film tells the real-life story of Jann Mardenborough, who in 2011 became the third winner of the GT Academy, and the youngest ever to do so at just 19 years of age.

Archie Madekwe portrays Jann Mardenborough, with Djimon Hounsou playing his father, and Geri Halliwell, his mother.

Orlando Bloom takes on the role of Danny Moore, a character based on real GT Academy founder Darren Cox and David Harbour plays Jann’s trainer, Jack Salter.

The film hails from director Neill Blomkamp (District 9), who works from a script by Zach Baylin (Creed III), Will Dunn (Ms. Marvel) and Jason Hall (American Sniper), in theaters August 11. 

In 1997, the Gran Turismo video game was released in Japan by Polyphony and Yamauchi. The creators revolutionized the racing game genre by creating an incredibly authentic driving simulation game.

The company released their latest and best game — Gran Turismo 7 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 — during last spring.

The film will be officially released and shown in theaters on August 11, 2023.
