Shock jock Kyle Sandilands claims Chris Hemsworth is lying about his height -and says ‘6ft 3ins actor’ is shorter than claimed
Kyle Sandilands has claimed that Chris Hemsworth isn’t quite the goliath that is often claimed.
The shock jock said on his KIIS FM program, The Kyle and Jackie O Show, on Tuesday that he is the same height as the Hollywood superstar.
The pair, who are friends, have stood beside one another, and Kyle believes Chris is the same height – 6 feet 1 inches (185.4 cm).
Chris’ height online was been repeatedly given online as 6 feet 3 inches (190.5 cm), though the actor himself has only stated that he is ‘over 6 feet 1 inches’.
‘I didn’t measure (him), I have just stood beside him, and it’s obvious we are the same size,’ Kyle, 52, insisted.

His co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson was quick to ask, ‘How do you know you’re not 6ft 2 inches (187.9 cm)’?
‘Everyone knows their own height,’ Kyle insisted, but he added that he had not checked in some years.
‘Not since my grandmother was alive and she measured me with a lead pencil on the doorway,’ Kyle said.
Chris has previously referenced his height, telling W Magazine that superhero Thor was a perfect physical fit for him.

‘I remembered reading the breakdown for Thor and it said, “Must be over 6 feet 3 inches and 200 pounds,” and so on.
‘I thought, “Oh cool. This is the one thing that sort of fits me,”‘ he said in 2017.
The 39-year-old said in 2016 that he had previously lied about his height – to make himself sound smaller.
‘There are certainly things I’ve wanted to go up for which I’ve been totally wrong for, physically and I normally lie about my height and say I’m shorter,’ he said.
‘But it can go two ways. The brief for the audition for Thor said: “must be over 6 feet 1 inches”, which I’d never seen before!’
