Shocking bust-up between Paddy Doherty and traveller

Shocking video footage shows former gypsy bare-knuckle boxer Paddy Doherty pinning a teenager to the ground as a woman screams: ‘Get off him, he’s biting him’.

The 58-year-old, who is known for his graphic fighting videos, can be seen grabbing the man’s neck and face as they tussled on the ground in front of terrified women.

A man desperately tried to pull Doherty – who won Celebrity Big Brother 8 in 2011 – off of the man who is pushing his face away from him in Queensferry, Wales.

Eventually Doherty, from Manchester, ended up on the ground and a group of well-built men jumped in to try and break up the brawl.

The woman, who filmed the clip, could be heard shouting: ‘Go on Lewis. He’s biting him. Paddy, get off him. Get off him, Paddy.’

One of the men who tried to help lift Mr Doherty off of the man ended up on the ground just seconds later.

The clip ends with the frightened woman sprinting away from the scene. It is not clear whether either man sustained any injuries.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Paddy was on top of a heavy teenager and was trying to bite him.

‘The traveller and Gypsy community with Paddy over trying to bite because he is seen as a celebrity and a role model of how you can change your ways.

‘But now it just goes to show that Paddy is a fake.’

It comes a week after video footage emerged which appeared to show Mr Doherty’s son John brawling at a traveller site and attempting to ‘bite off’ a rival’s ear.

John Doherty allegedly bit a member of the Joyce clan after the man knocked him to the ground in front of a baying crowd in Manchester.

His father was said to have been among the group which had to intervene and separate the fighters after his son ‘bit’ the man and chased him into a trailer.

Last month, thousands of mourners paid their respects to Mr Doherty’s nephew, who was killed in a car crash.

Tom ‘Tomboy’ Doherty, 17, died after the collision in South Nutfield, Surrey, earlier this month just days after passing his driving test.

Speaking at the service, Mr Doherty said: ‘My heart is broken. He was my nephew and his mum and father’s only child. The look on them, they are absolutely devastated.
