The dramatic clip, filmed at around 6.40pm on Sunday, captures a group of young men as they run through a residential street in east London wielding spades and machetes.
As the CCTV footage begins, half a dozen men are seen strolling down the street, believed to be in Newham, to join others at a junction ahead.
But as they approach the end of the road, a huge clash breaks out, and two apparent gangs fight in the road with spades, sticks and even bin bags thrown in the broad-daylight conflict.

One man is seen brandishing a sledgehammer and another wields a pitchfork as they watch on from a safe distance during the confrontation.

He is chased by a dozen men who use spades and bin bags as weapons, before the group suddenly runs away from the scene for an unknown reason.
The clip, which was posted to social media last night but was filmed on Sunday, was captioned ‘Gang fight on Upton Park near Green Street. Newham is ruled by gangs.’

It sparked outrage from many viewers, who alleged such activity was an ‘every day occurrence’ in the borough.
One user said: ‘The sewer scum of London what a lovely sight. London is truly the scum city of the world.’
Another added: ‘Everyday occurrence. London’s f****d.’
The Metropolitan Police has been contacted for comment.
