Shocking moment YouTube star IShowSpeed is attacked in Oslo by mob of fans who jumped on him, pulled out his hair and ‘threw urine’ at him as he vows never to return to Norway

Controversial streamer IShowSpeed is vowing to never to go back to Norway after he was mobbed by legions of fans as he attempted to escape a building after he damaged his ankle during a performance.

The gamer, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., is in Europe for the 2024 European Football Championships.

The terrifying incident began when Watkins was egging on a crowd on the streets as he stood in the display window of a souvenir store attempting to get them to chant the word: ‘Siu,’ a catchphrase associated with soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

As the crowd grew fervent, Watkins then mimicked the Portugal striker’s goal celebration, consisting of jumping and turning in the air. After landing, he landed awkwardly, hurting his ankle in the process. ‘I think I broke my ankle,’ he screams.

A subsequent clip showed Watkins then being carried out of the building to an SUV by a minder as he’s mobbed by fans, at least one person can be seen grabbing his hair, another threw a liquid, he said was urine on him as another performed a pro wrestling style leap on him from a car.

A shaken Watkins took to his social media pages shortly afterwards to tell his Norwegian fans that as much as he loves them, he will not be returning to the country.

In a video taken just as Watkins gets to the car, he confronts the man who leaped on him. ‘It’s not f***ing funny bro! You’re not even f***ing listening. I promise, on God, I’m never coming to this f***ing country.’

In a more somber video recorded in the car as he sped away from the scene, Watkins reflected on what went down, referring to it as the ‘worst day of [his] life.’

‘My ankle’s broken, they pulled my hair out. They threw water at me. Somebody literally did a WWE Rey Mysterio move and jumped off the car. This was the scariest day of my life. I promise you. I couldn’t even breathe,’ he said.

In a later video, Watkins said that the substance thrown at him was ‘p***.’

‘They ‘f***ing pulled my hair out and three p*** on me and some random f***ing dude jumped on my car and started tweaking hell f***ing no, I’m f***ing p*****d.’

It’s been a bad week for the streamer too. Just days earlier, he was stunned into silence when his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, missed a penalty kick in Portugal’s victory over Slovenia.

‘I have never in my life seen him miss a penalty,’ Watkins said after regaining his composure. ‘I have never in my life seen him miss a penalty.’

His remarks barely drowned out the chants of ‘Messi, Messi, Messi’, which could be heard from spectators in the fan park where he watched the action.

Watkins began his YouTube channel under the moniker IShowSpeed back in 2016 from his native Cincinnati, Ohio. He gained fame through is gameplaying of FIFA, Fortnite and Roblox.

His violent outbursts made him a star on TikTok and spread to wider fame seeing him beginning a music career and making appearances with World Wrestling Entertainment.

That’s despite numerous controversies, including allegations that he made a rape threat against fellow streamer Ash Kash, which resulted him being banned from 2021 until 2023 from Twitter.
