The mum said the savings she made from the epic haul are enough ‘to buy a second-hand car’, before posting a video of her trolley stacked with clothes.

The post on the popular Markdown Addicts Facebook Page has been liked by more than 1000 people with many impressed with her $1765 saving.

‘This is amazing, well done. I do this too but only go up a few sizes,’ one mum said.

‘We done something similar with our boy, I hung them in the wardrobe and made dividers with the sizes on them so we didn’t forget what we had,’ said another.

The clothes appeared to be $3 each in the sale – something many Big W fans couldn’t ignore.

‘I bought my son’s whole summer wardrobe yesterday,’ one woman said.

‘I stocked up three years worth of winter clothes last year for my daughters at Kmart. Wish I went all the way up to size 14

Others warned buying years ahead could be more wasteful and expensive than heading to sales every season.

‘That idea sounds great and I did exactly that when my lot we little only problem is you may miss the season size wise and put away safe for the next year and two years later you find it. False economy,’ a mum said.

‘Wait until she is three and won’t wear anything unless it is a certain colour,’ said another.

Others laughed and said the clothes could last even longer than five years.

‘Or 15! I see a bra in there,’ one eagle-eyed shopper said.

Others shared their hauls too, though none could boast as many clothes as the five-month-old’s mum.
