The woman accompanied her post with a photo of the Caramilk Easter eggs, which will come as white chocolate caramelised miniature eggs.

The Caramilk eggs are the latest part of the Caramilk craze, which has swept Australia in recent months.

The most recent chapter was Cadbury Caramilk Twirl, which launched in November.

‘Cadbury Caramilk has been so incredibly popular that we’ve been looking at a number of new options for limited edition products in never-before-seen formats,’ a Cadbury spokesperson said to a fan in a Facebook message at the time.

‘In the meantime, you can look forward to a Cadbury Caramilk product in an entirely new format – stay tuned.’

Shoppers have been left frustrated after they have struggled to get their hands on Caramilk in the supermarkets.

People on social media have gone into meltdown over the launch of the Easter eggs.

‘These will be out of stock before they hit the shelves. People will buy them by the boxes,’ one person posted.

‘I’m heading early tomorrow morning then,’ another added.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Coles and Woolworths for comment.
