Made from lacy material featuring figure-hugging boning and lace up back detail, the top went viral when it was first released after women started posting themselves wearing it on Instagram and TikTok.

While the racy corset is currently still available in black and white, it’s the cobalt blue that has taken Australian fashionistas by storm.

A Glasson spokesperson said some lucky shoppers may still be able to get their hands on the coveted top in stores.

‘While our corsets have continued to be a best selling style customers can’t get enough of the Lace Garter Corset, with the latest drop selling out online in a matter of hours,’ they said.

‘We can confirm there are still some available in our NSW and QLD stores, with Victoria and Adelaide to have the style in store tomorrow.’

There is no word yet on when the top will be back online in Australia but it will be restocked for New Zealand customers soon.

This isn’t the first time the racy blue corset has caused a stir among shoppers.

Last year, when retailers opened after lockdown, videos emerged of people queuing up outside Glassons stores and scrambling to get their hands on the garment on TikTok.

One video was taken from inside a Glassons store as women clambered to snag one of the tops leaving racks empty in seconds.

‘I was working there and wearing the blue corset, there were so many people asking,’ one commenter wrote.

Another video showed a huge line of shoppers outside a Melbourne Glassons store before retailers were set to open after the city’s long lockdown.

One TikTokker found the $39.99 top being resold on online fashion marketplace, Depop, for $150.

One user commented she was going to buy it off the seller before they were offered  more than three times its original price by another interested buyer.
