Commuter bus to Salt Lake City and truck hit by flurry of ‘accidental’ gunfire while driving down Ohio highway – but incredibly no one was hurt
- No one was injured on the bus or semitrailer after someone fired shots from a peach orchard, located off the highway between Ogden and Salt Lake City
- Authorities haven’t yet found the shooter but believe it was accidental
- Police said the area was heavily wooded which would have prevented the shooter from seeing the highway

A commuter bus and a semitrailer were accidentally hit by a flurry of gunfire while traveling along a Utah highway.
Davis County Chief Deputy Ty Berger said Monday that no one was injured after someone fired shots from a peach orchard, located off the highway between the city of Ogden and Salt Lake City.
Both the bus and the semitrailer were hit when between five and ten shots were fired.

Authorities haven’t yet found the shooter.
Berger says investigators believe the shooting was accidental because authorities found what they believe was the point where the shots were fired and that thick and tall trees would have prevented the shooter from seeing the highway where the bus was taking commuters to Salt Lake City.

The passengers were transferred to another bus to finish the route.
The Davis County Sheriff’s Office and the Utah Highway Patrol are investigating.
