Princess Beatrice has called her daughter ‘a little rockstar’ in a handwritten thank you note sent to well-wishers.

The monarch’s granddaughter, 33, gave birth to her first daughter Sienna with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in September 2021.

Yesterday, royal fan account @life.of.a.duchess shared a snap of a thank you card sent from Beatrice to well-wishers who had written to congratulate her on the birth of her first child.

In the handwritten note, she penned: ‘Thankyou so much for thinking of us at this remarkable and special time.

‘We are so thankful to have welcomed this little person into our family. She is a little rockstar!’

Meanwhile she signed off the note from: ‘Beatrice, Edo, Wolfie and Sienna’

The front of the card showed a print of her daughter’s feet.

The thankyou note has been revealed shortly after the family returned to the UK following a trip to Verbier.

During the holiday, Princess Beatrice dispensed with royal privilege to jump on a bus with her young family to escape a snow storm.

The down-to-earth royal decided to use public transport after she and her young family were caught in a blizzard after lunching in the luxury ski resort of Verbier.

Accompanied by her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, their daughter Sienna and son Christopher Wolfe, who is known as ‘Wolfie’, Beatrice made a dash for the number 1 bus to get to the ski chalet where they are guests of Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York.

Beatrice and her loved ones alighted from the free ‘navette’ ski-bus towards the top of the mountain after the two-mile, ten-minute journey.

The princess declined to accept an offer of a lift from the bus stop to the chalet from a fellow skier who offered to help after spotting the family struggling.

The royals then marched up the mountain through the snow to their £17million chalet which boasts fantastic views over the Bagnes Valley.

Earlier Beatrice was spotted beckoning her property-development husband Edo back into a cafe where he appeared to pay for their lunch. The Royal Family famously do not carry cash.

Meanwhile her sister Princess Eugenie, 31, went skiing with her husband Jack Brooksbank. The Duchess of York avoided the snow-storm and stayed indoors.

The Queen’s granddaughter gave birth to a baby girl weighing 6lbs 2oz at 11.42pm on Saturday 18 September at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, in London.

The baby girl was born 11th in line to the throne, and although their mother is a princess they will be plain Miss Mozzi – and a half-sibling and will also be a half-sibling to Edo’s son, Wolfie.
