Simon Cowell has revealed he was ‘put in situations’ in his youth, as he weighs in on the recent sexual misconduct scandals in Hollywood.
Speaking at the Music Industry Trusts Awards, the music mogul, 58, confessed the entertainment industry was ‘not a nice business’, but that people, [those in the wrong] ‘get what they deserve’ in the end.
His appearance at the event, held at London’s Grosvenor Hotel, came after The X Factor received its lowest ever viewing figures on Sunday – leading to claims that the show may be axed within two years.

Speaking at the awards on Monday night, the Syco owner was asked his opinions on the sexual allegations made across Hollywood in recent weeks.
Admitting he feels the industry will change as a result of the scandal, Simon even revealed he had been ‘put in situations’ when first starting out in music.
According to The Sun, he said: ‘Well, I do [think there will be change] actually to be honest with you.

The Oscar-winning producer has faced allegations ranging from sexual harassment to rape, dating all the way back to the 1980s.
The likes of Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cara Delevingne and Rose McGowan have come forward.
Weinstein has since been stripped of his Oscars board membership, banned from the Emmys and the Producers Guild of America, and has reportedly checked into rehab in Arizona for sex addiction.

Sunday night’s show garnered only 4.3 million viewers, while rival Strictly Come Dancing drew in more than 11 million when favourite Aston Merrygold was voted out in a shock dance-off.
However it was the BBC’s Blue Planet II that came out on top of the ratings war, with an average viewing figure of 10.8 million.

According to the Daily Star, ITV bosses are even considering axing the famous singing competition in two years’ time if ratings do not improve.
A source told the paper: ‘The show’s latest ratings are embarrassing. It used to be one of the real jewels in the crown for ITV.’
However, a spokesperson for The X Factor told MailOnline: ‘This series of The X Factor is consolidating at an average of seven million viewers per episode based on the current ratings system. This does not include either repeats or any non-linear viewing via computer or mobile phone.’
