Simon Cowell’s son Eric is already devising ways to make money

Eric Cowell seems to have inherited his millionaire father Simon’s eye for making money.

The four-year-old has apparently already shown signs for being shrewd with cash, says Stephen Mulhern, who works with the Cowells on Britain’s Got Talent.

The host of the series’ sister show – Britain’s Got More Talent – Lorraine’s Christine Lampard how Simon, 58, had asked him to show his son some magic.

In for a penny…: Simon Cowell’s son Eric is already devising ways to make money, revealed Britain’s Got More Talent host Stephen Mulhern

Stephen explained: ‘He’s a mini Simon. Simon calls me Stevie… he said, “Stevie, show Eric a magic trick”.

‘I said to Eric “Look, there’s a 50p coin, watch the coin and it’s gone…” and then I made it reappear.

‘What did Eric say? He said, “Can I keep it?” Like father like son!’

The magic man added: ‘I did give it to him. Afterwards I was like, why am I giving you 50p? I think you’re going to be alright!’

Stephen, 41, made his appearance fresh from jetting home from the USA, where he shot the finale of Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, minus Ant McPartlin.

He prasied Declan Donnelly for his solo efforts, before revealing that Simon has been a lot more ‘chilled’ filming the latest run of Britain’s Got Talent episodes.

‘Simon is more relaxed than he’s ever been. Maybe because Eric is older now,’ he observed.

He also added of the BGT judging panel: ‘I don’t think the judges will change for the next two, three, four years. Unlike the X Factor. Because the judges on the panel now… it just works.’

Simon and Stephen – and indeed Ant and Dec – will be back on screens this weekend alongside Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden for the latest series of the talent-spotting ITV show.

Judges: Simon will be back with fellow BGT judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and especially David Walliams for the latest season of the show
