Simone Biles flashes toned six-pack in stunning photoshoot for Porter magazine

Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles showed off her six-pack in a stunning photoshoot for Porter magazine, as she opened up about how she learned to finally relax after years of working nonstop.

The 24-year-old gymnast showcased her toned muscles and strong physique while posing for the cover of the magazine’s latest issue.

She also told the outlet about her decision to withdraw from several events at the Toyko Olympics last summer, admitting that while she was ‘scared’ to do it, some positives have come out of the tough times.

‘I think a lot of good things came from taking a different route at the Olympics,’ she said. ‘I do believe everything happens for a reason.’

For one, Simone admitted that she used to think she was ‘lazy’ if she ever took time off, but she is now prioritizing spending time with her family, friends, and boyfriend, NFL star Jonathan Owens.

Simone modeled several fashionable looks for the magazine, including a blue Anna Quan halter top and a pink Khaite bralette paired with bold rainbow striped pants by Christopher John Rogers.

Another image showed her jumping through the air in an orange knit crop top and matching shorts by Alanui, with her abs on full display.

While chatting with the outlet, Simone spoke out about how what she has been through in the past year has taught her how to ‘step back and relax.’

Simone had a whirlwind 2021. While attending the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo last summer, she shocked the world when she announced that she was withdrawing from four out of five event finals so that she could focus on her mental health.

The decision to withdraw came after she suffered from something called ‘the twisties’ while competing on the vault – which is a mental block that causes gymnasts to feel like they are ‘lost in the air.’

Looking back, Simone told Porter that her mind and body were not ‘in sync’ and that she ‘just kind of crashed,’ adding that she ‘couldn’t see herself in her head.’

When it came time to tell her coaches about it, the sports star admitted she was ‘scared,’ but said they were ‘100 per cent supportive.’

She recalled them asking her, ‘Are you sure you want to do this? Because, a couple of years from now, you don’t want to have any regrets.’

Making the decision was certainly difficult given that Simone was used to always being on-the-go.

‘My biggest thing before was thinking that, if I’m not doing anything, I’m being lazy,’ she said.

But now, she is taking things slower.

‘There’s no timeline and there’s nothing that’s really urgent from me right now. My whole life has been go, go, go… So it’s kind of nice to take a step back and relax,’ she said.

‘My self-care routine looks a little bit different than pulling out of the Olympics,’ she went on, adding that she is ‘taking baths, going to the spa, having movie nights with my boyfriend and spending time at the pool with my dogs.’

Simone also shared her gratitude over the outpouring of support she received from her fans, her friends, her family, and even a lot of stars.

‘I definitely felt all those messages. I want people to know that they were heard and they were seen - even if I didn’t get to respond,’ she said.

Simone has racked up seven Olympic medals over the years – four gold, two silver, and one bronze – making her one of the most decorated gymnasts of all time.
