Simone Biles was mistaken for a CHILD by flight attendant

Four-foot-eight gymnast Simon Biles has revealed that a flight attendant mistook her for a child — and even offered her a color book — after she boarded a recent flight.

The 25-year-old, who is one of the world’s most decorated gymnasts, opened up about the awkward encounter on Instagram Stories last week after becoming the youngest recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Biles was presumably flying home to Texas after her visit to Washington, D.C. when she shared a photo of herself holding her hand to her head in apparent frustration.

‘Not the flight attendant trying to give me a coloring book when I board… I said, “No, I’m good, I’m 25,”‘ she captioned the snapshot.

The gymnast, who has a total of seven Olympic medals, added that another member of the crew offered her an alcoholic drink.

‘The other flight attendant gave me a mimosa so we’re in the clear,’ she explained, but she noted that she was asked if she was old enough to drink it when it was brought over.

Biles’s post went viral after influencer Matt Bernstein tweeted a screenshot of her flight selfie on July 9, two days after President Joe Biden awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

‘I’m crying at the thought of a flight attendant giving Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast in history, a coloring book because she is 4’8″,’ he wrote.

‘Some flight attendant went to the back and said to a colleague, “I’m so embarrassed, I just offered a coloring book to an adult!” And the colleague went, “Um, not just *any* adult,”‘ one person wrote.

‘How does the flight attendant not know who Simone Biles is!’ someone else asked, while another added: ‘Not the coloring book to Presidential Medal of Freedom pipeline.’

One Twitter user noted: ‘I would’ve taken it and then ordered a glass of wine.’

Others could relate and recalled instances in which they were mistaken for kids.

‘Checking in at 5′ tall and currently 36 years old,’ one person shared. ‘Within the last couple of years I was offered the children’s menu and crayons when out to dinner with my now-wife and a friend. Makes me wonder what strangers think when I answer the door at my own house.’

Biles was among the 17 trailblazing Americans who were awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom — the highest civilian honor — in the White House East Room last Thursday.

Other honorees included soccer star Megan Rapinoe, actor Denzel Washington, late Senator John McCain, and Gabby Giffords, the former House Democrat who survived being shot in the face at point-blank range.

The day after the ceremony, Biles clapped back at former Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis, who tweeted a nasty comment about the gymnast being among the honorees.

‘Fittingly, Biden awarded his presidential medals to fellow losers, Biles and Rapinoe,’ Ellis tweeted, sparking outrage across social media.

‘Who is Jenna Ellis? Asking for everyone,’ Biles asked to the delight of her fans.
