Simone Hotznagel pays tribute to Playboy’s Hugh Hefner

She’s the Aussie beauty who posed on the cover of American Playboy magazine in 2015.

And in the wake of Hugh Hefner’s passing on Wednesday, model Simone Holtznagel, 24, paid tribute to the late Playboy founder.

Taking to Instagram to share a topless Playboy snap, the former Australia’s Next Top Model star called it ‘an honour’ to have appeared on the men’s magazine.

Paying tribute: in the wake of Hugh Hefner’s passing on Wednesday, model Simone Holtznagel, 24, paid tribute to the late Playboy founder

‘Mr H Hefner. It was an honor to be on the cover of your magazine @playboy,’ she wrote.

‘Rest well in the bosoms of what surely will be, absolute, Heaven – It was a pleasure xoxo ❤️ #playboy.’

The busty blonde bared her assets for the publication two years ago and later said that while she never got a chance to meet Hugh, the revealing shoot was a major turning point in her career.

‘I kind of struck gold with that. I’m really glad that I did it,’ she told news.com.au.

‘Can you believe I’ve not been invited to any parties at the mansion?,’ she said laughing.

‘I didn’t meet him (Hugh Hefner) … I think it’s because I wasn’t a Playmate. I haven’t been to the mansion, I haven’t met him. I’d go for the experience.’

Other Aussie stars who have covered the famous men’s magazine include model Elle Macpherson, actress Melissa George and singer Dannii Minogue.
