Sinead O’Connor looks careworn in Ireland

Sinead O’Connor has been seen in public for the first time in months when she went for a coffee with the father of her youngest child.

The singer has been keeping a low profile since posting a video on Facebook earlier this year sparking concern over her mental health.

She was pictured with ex Frank Bonadio Christmas Eve in Bray, just south of Dublin, where she used to live.

It is understood the Nothing Compares 2 U star was back in the area having returned home to celebrate Christmas.

He was also married to her friend, Irish singer Mary Coughlan, but they split up two years prior to them starting to see each other.

The powerful video she released in August sparked an outpouring of support for the Irish singer.

In it, she said: ‘I’m fighting, fighting, fighting, fighting,’ she sobbed, ‘like all the millions and millions that I know I’m one of — to stay alive every day.

‘I want everyone to know what it’s like, that’s why I’m making this video. Mental illness, it’s like drugs, it doesn’t give a s*** who you are, and, equally, what’s worse, it’s the stigma. It doesn’t give a s*** who you are.’

One of those who offered her a hand after her public breakdown was Russell Brand.

O’Connor responded by sending him a sexually explicit plea for the now-Radio X DJ to give her a ‘good rogering’.
