A woman has melted hearts after sharing the emotional letter her younger brother penned after discovering they aren’t ‘full’ siblings.
Pamela Lara, an 18-year-old dancer from Houston, Texas, took to Twitter to post a snap of the touching note Jared Escamilla, 17, had presented her with, along with a selection of her favourite snacks.
The heartfelt letter read: ‘I just wanted to let you know how much I love you. I don’t care what people say you are always going to be my full-blooded sister, you are the best thing that happened to me.
‘I love you with all my heart, thank you for helping me on my worst and thank you for leading me the right way.
‘I will always be there for you, just like you have always been there for me. I love you, with love your annoying brother.’
And the tweet quickly garnered 60,000 likes and retweets, and hundreds of supportive comments.

Pam told Femail: ‘My brother knew I wasn’t ready to talk about us not being full siblings, so he wrote it instead.
‘Instead of breaking us apart, it made us even closer. He even tells me he feels bad for joking around that I was the adopted one in the family because I was different than everyone else.
‘But despite all of that, I believe blood does not define family. And I have never seen him any differently.’
Many people replied to the 18-year-old’s tweet with gifs of people and celebrities, including Naomi Campbell, crying, as they struggled to contain their emotions.
Admitting it had made him well up, one follower joked: ‘My eyes are sweating!’ amid an influx of replies.

Explaining to a follower later in the thread that she hadn’t wanted her brother to know the family secret yet, Pam added: ‘I don’t think anyone is ever ready to bring it out.
‘I wasn’t planning on telling him yet. Not until I moved out. But things happened and he found out from someone else.’
