Liverpool dominate the Champions League squad of the season with six of their players being included, while Tottenham have three.
UEFA revealed their squad of the season on Monday following Liverpool’s 2-0 triumph over Tottenham in Madrid.
Mohamed Salah’s early penalty and Divock Origi’s strike sealed victory for Liverpool and the club’s sixth European Cup.

Champions League winners Virgil Van Dijk and Alisson were both included in the squad
Liverpool forward Sadio Mane was also selected in 20 best players in this term’s competition
It was fitting that Liverpool should have the most players of any club in the squad of the season with six in total making the team.
Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson, Georginio Wijnaldum and Sadio Mane were all named in UEFA’s 20 best players from this term’s competition.
Mauricio Pochettino’s finalists also saw three of their players included in the team. Lucas Moura, who didn’t start the final despite his hat-trick booking Tottenham’s place in the final, was selected alongside Jan Vertonghen and Moussa Sissoko.
Premier League champions Manchester City may have fell short in Europe in their quest for an unprecedented quadruple, but Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling were still deemed worthy of a spot by the governing body’s Technical Observers.
This year’s surprise packed Ajax joined Liverpool in making up the bulk of the squad with the semi-finalists having five players named in the team.
David Neres, Frenkie de Jong, Dusan Tadic, Matthijs de Ligt and Hakim Ziyech also all made the cut.
There were also places for Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, while Marc-Andre Ter Stegen and Tanguy Ndombele completed the squad.
There were no representatives from European giants Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich or Real Madrid after underwhelming campaigns.
