Skye Wheatley has responded to backlash after she was slammed for getting liposuction and several other cosmetic procedures against the advice of her plastic surgeon following a fox eye lift this week.
The former Big Brother star directly addressed her concerned followers, and one person who said she is the reason why girls have low self-esteem.
The Australian influencer, 30, is currently in Turkey recovering from undergoing a partial face lift and first raised alarm bells she was going overboard by requesting another nose job after having one in 2021.
Skye visited her plastic surgeon after touching down in Turkey for her controversial ‘fox eye lift’ cosmetic procedure.
The minimally invasive procedure uses dissolvable threads to lift and elongate the eye in order to create a more almond shape and an upturned look, and typically lasts for six to 12 months.
‘I can’t show my face yet it’s way too scary, but when I heal more I will show the process don’t worry,’ Skye shared to her Instagram Stories on Thursday.
‘Show us, we won’t be scared,’ one follower wrote to Skye on Thursday night.
‘Hahaha nah, it’s horrific,’ she responded.

As well as a fox eye lift, Skye also got liposuction on her arms and inner thighs, a temporal lift and a bletharoplasty
‘But I know this is how it’s going to look. I’m trusting the process. I’ve vlogged it all too so you can see each day and what it looks like when I upload the video.
‘The only reason I’m documenting this is for other girls undergoing the surgery because it’s such a nice reassurance seeing the beginning-to-end.’
She added the recovery from the procedure has been ‘overwhelming’, but that she has to be ‘patient’ for the results.
On Thursday night, Skye invited her fans to ask her questions and began sharing her responses on her Instagram Stories.
‘What did you get done?’ someone asked.
Skye said in addition to the fox eye lift, she also got liposuction on her arms and inner thighs, a temporal lift and a bletharoplasty.
She explained her motivations for getting the fox eye thread lift, which lasts for about six months, to fans earlier this week
Skye said she didn’t want show her face after all the procedures, saying that it’s too ‘horrific’ and ‘scary’ at the moment
A temporal lift is a fat transfer into the face to prevent the need for injectable dermal fillers and a bletharoplasty is an eyelid surgery.
‘My doctor said there wasn’t much fat on my arms or legs so [he] only took the littlest bit and from what I can see of my arms so far I’m really happy,’ she posted to her Stories.
‘Legs don’t look much different, probably swollen.’
Answering another question on her Instagram Stories, Skye listed off all the plastic surgery procedures she’s ever had done.
That includes surgery on her nose, her breasts (twice), arms, inner thigh and face.
Skye then offered advice to another follower who said she was ‘scared’ to travel to Turkey alone to get the some procedure as her.
The influencer revealed she couldn’t open her eyes for three days following the fox eye lift procedure: ‘Being in a foreign hospital with no eyesight was pretty unsettling.’
‘Why did you get the liposuction if you’re really fit?’ another follower asked Skye.
‘Because [it] doesn’t matter how fit you are, you’re always going to have stubborn areas of fat!’ Skye wrote.
‘I’m not actually that fit. Yes, I train daily but my diet isn’t perfect. I’m too much of a sweet tooth I’m obsessed with sugar and food in general. I’m a big eater lol.
‘He wasn’t even going to do it, he said hardly any fat, but I insisted.’
‘Really not being a hater – but YOU’RE the exact reason girls have self esteem issues,’ one follower wrote.
‘Everyone is going to have self esteem issues,’ Skye wrote back.
‘I know it’s sad because I see the beauty in the others but somehow it’s always different when you look at yourself…and I’m being open and honest about my surgeries because I DON’T want other girls who aren’t enhanced to feel like they’re not “good enough” or “not pretty enough”.
‘Everyone is beautiful with or without surgery, but I think the more damaging thing is to get all these enhancements done without being honest about it,’ she continued.
‘There [are] so many girls online who’ve had surgical enhancements and say nothing. I won’t be one of those people.’
‘No question,’ the fan responded to Skye on Friday. ‘Just wish you could see how beautiful you are as you are.’
‘Thanks doll, it will never change who I am on the inside and I think that’s all that matters,’ Skye said.
‘It’s very confronting talking about surgeries because legit no one says anything. But I dunno [sic] I’m so intrigued by the process and think why shouldn’t I talk about it when everyone is doing it?’

Skye has been documenting every step of her latest plastic surgery venture on social media and revealed why she does it.

‘It grinds my gears bad. I think it’s way more damaging than being open and honest about it because then young girls think you were born like that when you wasn’t.’
This comes as fans, other influencers, and media personalities have discussed whether or not Skye might suffer from a plastic surgery addiction.
The Outspoken Podcast weighed in on Skye’s eye lift consultation video on Tuesday, with sister hosts Amy, Sophie and Kate Taeuber sharing their concerns.
‘I don’t want to go too much into it because I know that it is ultimately Skye’s decision what she does to her body, but I find it so disturbing because she’s only 30,’ one said.
‘She looks so young. She’s a stunning woman.’

Another pointed out Skye’s willingness to be so transparent to prevent young women from idolising her beauty and wondering why they can’t obtain it.
‘It really is a catch 22 because it is good that Skye’s being transparent but some of her videos could be seen as if they’re promoting the surgeries and encouraging young girls to also seek out this kind of surgery,’ they said.
Skye’s TikTok page has also been inundated with concerned followers who flocked to the comments of her most recent vlog in Turkey to tell the influencer she doesn’t need the fox eye lift or another nose job.
