A teenage girl has been sexually assaulted by a ‘smelly, unkempt’ man while she was walking down a quiet residential street.
The 17-year-old was walking along Cox Road, Corio, in Geelong’s north at about 4.30pm last Monday.
As she reached Grevillea Avenue a stranger approached the teenager and sexually assaulted her.
Police released a composite image of a man who may be able to assist their investigation
Police described the man to be in his early 30s and wearing dark blue jeans, black sneakers, a white t-shirt and red checked shirt.
He is between 185 to 190cm tall.
Geelong Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives have put out an appeal for more information.
Police have released a composite image of a man they wish to speak to who they say could ‘hold information that will progress this investigation’.
Police have yet to make any arrests and lay any charges over the incident.
