The quest to find out who McKinnon’s new leading lady was almost immediate.
According to People Magazine, Abbott was born in Stamford, Connecticut and is currently an actress based in New York City. She’s an alum of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and is a self-described photographer.
She has starred in a number of independent movies such as ‘Seeing Emma’ and ‘Murder, My Tweet,’ her website notes.
McKinnon is probably best known for her hilarious portrayals of Hillary Clinton and White House Senior Counsel Kellyanne Conway as slightly unhinged figures being pulled asunder by their ambitions or employer.
Arguably McKinnon’s most high-profile role was in the 2016 remake of Ghostbusters, where starred alongside SNL alum Kristen Wigg and comedian Melissa McCarthy.
