‘The sign language person is my new fav part of the @SuperBowl,’ tweeted one person.

‘The sign language lady is my MVP pick,’ another wrote.

One user joked: ‘If this sign language lady dabs at the end of the performance, it would really make my night #superbowl.’

Pink, however, still had a spotlight shining on her. Dressed in all-grey brought the crowd to its feet with her rendition of the national anthem.

A Pennsylvania native, the three-time Grammy winner expressed her excitement over being able to perform for her hometown team before the performance.

‘Ummm. I’m singing the national anthem and the EAGLES ARE PLAYING?!?!?! IS THIS FOR REAL?!?!?! THATS WHASSUP!!!!!!!! ‘ the singer, whose birth name is Alecia Moore,  tweeted on January 21 after the Eagles clinched their championship spot, defeating the Minnesota Vikings.

The star shared her flu diagnosis in a picture on Instagram on Saturday morning, in the caption to a photo of herself at rehearsals.

‘Trying to practice the flu away. I’ve been waiting to sing this song since 1991 when I saw my idol, Whitney Houston, own this song,’ Pink wrote in part. ‘And now, my chance has finally come.’

She admitted that her dream was ‘slowly becoming a sort of nightmare,’ but added, ‘I promise I will do my best, as I always do.’

Pink joins a long and impressive list of artists to perform ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ at football’s biggest game including Houston, Billy Joel, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Kelly Clarkson.
