The 59-year-old singer became the butt of a joke when she tried to defend her former collaborator Britney Spears while responding to a viral meme that was actually complimenting the pop star.
After the f**kjerry Instagram account posted a tweet about someone dropping a friend because they don’t think Britney’s hit song Toxic is ‘even that good,’ a confused Madge rushed to the singers defense to the delight of the internet.

However, Madonna misconstrued the meaning and responded: ‘That song is [fire emoji] you are so wrong.’
The singer’s honest mistake quickly became fodder for some Twitter users who couldn’t resist poking fun at her.
‘Mom, I don’t think you get the meme @madonna…Toxic is life,’ f**kjerry wrote back.
