Eleanor may have a former premier as a father, but the footballer-turned-model has proved she has a much different calling in life to politics.

In 2019, she set her eyes on a more glamorous path – the Miss Universe Australia contest.

The stunner took part in the contest, in which she was a finalist.

Baillieu is a full-time Guide Dog puppy raiser and footballer with Old Geelong in the VAFA, and has lived in London and New York.

‘I’ve been modelling on and off since 2010 and I had a friend who did (Miss Universe) last year and she encouraged me to do it and I thought, why not,’ Baillieu said at the time.

Though Baillieu isn’t just about the glamorous life and even said she loves having a ‘beer with the guys’ and taking part in things out of her ‘comfort zone’.

Her father Ted was premier of Victoria from 2010 to 2013.

Now that he’s stepped down from the position, it’s given him plenty of time to support his daughter from the sidelines.

‘He was always at everything at school and he’d come home and we’d have family dinners. He was very much my dad,’ Baillieu said.
