Vergara and her spouse went on to tie the knot during a wedding ceremony that was held in Florida in 2015.
The two revealed that they had separated this past July, and they provided a statement to Page Six to confirm the news.
‘We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives,’ they said.
A source also told the media outlet that the pair were ‘taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future.’
