Mormon influencer Taylor Frankie Paul has revealed that she and her post-divorce boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, have broken up following her devastating ectopic pregnancy.
The 28-year-old from Utah introduced her new love on TikTok in July, just a few months after she rocked #MomTok with the announcement that her ex-husband, Tate Paul, was divorcing her over ‘soft-swinging’ drama.
Nearly six months into her whirlwind romance with Dakota, she stunned fans with the news of their split just days before ringing in the new year.
‘Finally deciding to be single and heal,’ she explained in the now-viral video. ‘Up next is war with myself,’ she added in the caption.

The clip has been viewed more than 6.9 million times, and thousands of people flocked to the comments, wanting to know what had happened.
Without going into any details, she said that it was ‘just off timing’ that led to her breakup with Dakota last month.
Taylor, a single mom of two young children, was in the middle of a divorce when they started dating, while he was just months into his sobriety as a recovering addict and alcoholic.
A few days later, she shared a follow-up video in which she admitted that ending things with Dakota was more difficult than divorcing Tate.
‘Can someone please explain how ending a six-month relationship hurt worse than ending a six-month marriage?’ she asked in the on-screen text.
Taylor returned to TikTok after ringing in the new year to say she ‘spent the last four days in bed with major depression and anxiety.’

‘I could not really get out of bed for the life of me. I did what I could when I had my kids, but I finally hit my rock bottom I think,’ she said.
The influencer explained that she was told her hormones would be out of whack after her ectopic pregnancy, and she had finally gotten her period back after weeks of feeling ‘crazy.’
Taylor vowed to clean her house, call her therapist, and schedule workout classes and playdates with her kids, Indy and Ocean, while working on herself in 2023.
‘I would like to make this year better. I would like to be a better friend, a better significant other, a better mother. I struggle with all those things,’ she said. ‘I know I was s****y at all of them [last] year.’
‘I will never forget [last] year,’ she added. ‘This was a major learning lesson. I would like to end my 20s with bettering myself and moving on to the next chapter of my life.’
Three days later, she shared a video of herself eating ramen noodles while making a phone call, writing, ‘Anxiously calling to see if hell take me back.’

The former couple’s breakup comes a month after she shared that she suffered an ectopic pregnancy.
Taylor posted a video documenting her pregnancy loss just days before Thanksgiving after another user commented that ‘she definitely looks off.’
The footage, which has since been deleted, showed her positive pregnancy tests before she surprised Dakota with the news. She put the tests in a gift bag along with baby booties and a onesie that had ‘Daddy Dakota’ written in gold.
Dakota was overcome with joy and pulled Taylor in for a hug as they celebrated her pregnancy together. The footage then cut to her sitting in the hospital, curled up in a ball.

Taylor explained in the on-screen text that she had ‘started to bleed a lot,’ leading doctors to believe the had miscarried.
‘Nevermind. Wait!!! HCG levels are rising,’ she wrote, referring to her pregnancy hormone levels. ‘Let’s keep an eye on it,’ she captioned a series of shots of her bandaged arm after numerous rounds of blood work.
After continuous monitoring, she was told that her HCG levels were ‘rising too slow’ and she had an ectopic pregnancy.
An ectopic pregnancy is when a fertilized egg grows outside of the uterus. They occur in a fallopian tube more than 90 percent of the time, according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, but they can also implant in the abdomen, cervix, ovary, and cesarean scar.
Ectopic pregnancies are not viable and need to be terminated, as they can become life-threatening and require urgent surgery if the area of implantation ruptures.
Taylor shared photos of herself with her eyes red from crying, saying she ‘was treated’ and is ‘no longer pregnant.’

‘My heart goes out to all who have suffered through this, in even scarier cases,’ she added. ‘Was a slow and painful process. Still in the process of recovery.’
In a Q&A that was also deleted, Taylor and Dakota opened up about their pregnancy loss. They shared that they want to have children together in the future, but not right now.
Dakota works as a real estate agent and is the owner of Basin Tiling, according to his Instagram profile. He is also a content creator and has more than 262,000 followers on TikTok, where he opens up about his life as a recovering addict and alcoholic.
He had been featured in a number of videos with Taylor’s children, including some that had been shared on his account.
Last year was a difficult one for Taylor, who became the subject of scandal when she announced in May that she and Tate were getting a divorce.
She alluded to there being more to the story when she posted footage of herself lying in bed and packing moving boxes.
Last year was a difficult one for Taylor, who announced in May that she and Tate were getting a divorce, saying they were ‘soft-swinging’ with friends
According to the Mormon influencer, their friend group had an agreement that they would switch partners but not ‘go all the way,’ which is known as a ‘soft swap’
‘My entire life is falling apart,’ she wrote in the on-screen text. ‘And I can’t even speak on why… without bringing them down with me.’
Rumors swirled that Taylor had been unfaithful, and then, in a bombshell TikTok Live, she opened up about her divorce, claiming that she and Tate were soft swinging with their friends.
According to her account, their friend group would switch partners but not ‘go all the way,’ which is known as a ‘soft swap.’
‘We had an agreement, like all of us, and I did step out of that agreement,’ she admitted. ‘That’s where I messed up, and I, obviously, am losing everything that I have, so that is true.’
Taylor alleged that she and the other wives in the group would make out with each other and each other’s husbands when they were drinking
‘No one was innocent. Everyone has hooked up with everyone in this situation,’ she claimed. ‘So, yes, I’m getting shunned for doing that, but it wasn’t like I was going around hooking up with my friend’s husband.
Taylor admitted she ‘did step out of that agreement’ when she got drunk and went off with a friend’s husband, but she noted that ‘everyone has hooked up with everyone in this situation’
Taylor (pictured with her fellow #MomTokers) refused to name names, but she stressed that fans could easily figure out which couples were in her alleged swinging group
‘We were at a party, I got belligerent, and we went and messed [around] by ourselves rather than with the whole group,’ she explained, insisting it was a ‘one-time thing.’
However, she said there were some feelings involved, which complicated the situation.
‘I was friends with these people, and we spent a lot of time together. We were intimate on several occasions, she said. ‘It sucks that I have to admit this because…no one really wants to admit they’re involved in something like that.’
Taylor noted that she and Tate had other issues in their marriage before they separated, but ‘this was like the tip of the iceberg.’
‘Tate has made out with several girls and [done] other things, and I’ve made out with all of the husbands and [done] other things,’ she added.
She refused to name names, but she stressed that fans could easily figure out which couples she was referring to in the TikTok Live.
‘They’re going to deny it, and that’s fine,’ she said. ‘I’m speaking my truth, and they can speak theirs.’
