The rehearsal took place outside of Buckingham Palace and the Queen Victoria memorial with tourists and royal fans watching on. The parade route extends to Horse Guards Parade, Whitehall and back again to the Palace.
The Queen was not there today but always attends the actual parade and takes the salute but, at 92 years old, no longer rides her own horse on the day.
The event gives the monarch a chance to inspect soldiers from her own personal troop which also boasts 400 musicians.
