A woman has wowed close to 200,000 people after sharing a photo of the breathtaking view she enjoys from her living room every single day.
The Norweigan woman, Heidi, is based in a town called Sømna in Northern Norway, which is known for its picturesque landscape, stunning views and outdoor lifestyle, with popular activities including hiking, fishing and kayaking.
Heidi posted on Facebook this week: ‘This was my view from the living room one evening in 2022. The sky looked like a painting. I live in northern Norway, in a place called Sømna’.

It wasn’t long before her feed was flooded with compliments, praise and jealousy.
‘Do you have a spare room? It’s beautiful,’ one commenter posted.
‘Magnificent, it must be very cold,’ added another.

Heidi explained that in Northern Norway, they have ‘winter for six months of the year’:
‘I have often dreamed of living in a country with a warmer climate, because these long winters can be mentally hard,’ she said.
‘But then there is something about where you were born and where you have your roots. And so we persevere anyway. When spring comes, it feels simply magical and winter is forgotten.’

Many who have visited it describe it as like visiting ‘another planet’, with vast landscapes, beautiful views and few people.
