The bodyguard’s son was reportedly a member of the Nomads bikie group in 2015.
The former bikie was on bail and pending an appeal for affray, assault and traffic charges at the time of the shooting.
The incident comes three months after Ibrahim’s bodyguard was shot in the back at the Kings Cross identity’s mother’s house in Merrylands, west of Sydney.
Tongan Sam, 59, was said to be protecting the bride Aisha Mehajer, sister of disgraced former Auburn deputy mayor Salim Mehajer at the time.
