Footy great Sonny Bill Williams looked every inch the doting dad while pictured carrying his newborn son at Sydney Airport on Sunday.

Williams recently became a father for the fifth time, naming his son Mohammed in a nod to his Muslim faith.

The football star was all smiles on Sunday when pictured with the new tot in public for the first time after arriving at Sydney Airport with his family.

‘SBW’ confirmed the news of the birth earlier this month via social media with the cross-code international and his wife Alana keeping the bundle of joy a secret in recent months.

It is believed only family and close friends were aware the couple were expecting – with the Channel Nine commentator and his ex-model wife both choosing not to be told the gender until birth.

In an Instagram reel, Williams told his four kids –  daughters Iman and Aisha plus sons Zaid and Essa – they were getting another sibling.

‘Is Mummy pregnant?’ one of his kids can be heard asking in the clip, which was only posted on Friday.

Williams then told his followers he and his wife are ‘suckers for punishment’ before a glowing Alana walked into view with a baby bump clearly visible.

The reel continued with the couple discussing potential baby names for a boy or girl, with Williams given the task of naming his son.

A devout Muslim, Williams next could be seen praying in the hospital in a blue gown, before he declared ‘it has been a long nine months’ and he was ‘hoping for a smooth process’.

Mohammed Williams – who was born on July 17 – then appears to conclude the reel, with his proud dad cradling him.

‘Four kilos, healthy boy and healthy mum,’ Williams says as he beams with pride.

‘May Allah bless and raise Mohammed to be a strong, righteous man.’

He won a premiership the same year before quitting the code to play rugby in France with Toulon three years later.

Such was his freakish sporting talent, Williams won World Cups with the All Blacks in 2011 and 2015 – as well as a second NRL premiership, this time with the Roosters in 2013.

Williams was also gifted in the fight game, winning nine of 10 fights as a heavyweight boxer.
