Sophia Bush‘s estranged husband Grant Hughes has broken his silence over his ex moving on.
He touched on her new romance with soccer player Ashlyn Harris on Wednesday.
Grant’s rep told Page Six, ‘Grant will always want the best for Sophia, and is supportive of all that makes her happy and fulfilled.’
Sophia split from Grant in August after 13 months of marriage.
This week reports have surfaced that the 41-year-old One Tree Hill actress has been linked to the retired United States soccer star and World Cup winner, 37.
‘After being friends for years, and running in the same social circles, Sophia and Ashlyn went out on their first dinner date a couple of weeks ago,’ a source told People on Tuesday.
‘This is so recent, and they are both beginning new chapters.’

The reaction from the 41-year-old business entrepreneur comes less than a day after multiple outlets reported Sophia and Ashlyn were an item.
An insider added to Page Six, ‘It’s very new, they are definitely a couple,’ while a TMZ source said the pair were ‘officially a thing’.
Sophia and Ashlyn were also recently seen together in photos shared online by Canadian soccer star Selenia Iacchelli.
It comes after Ashlyn recently filed for divorce from her wife Ali Krieger after four years of marriage.
The former couple share daughter Sloane, 2; and son Ocean, 15 months.
Ashlyn called it quits from soccer in November 2022, and Ali decided to do the same in March 2023.
She told CBS Morning that the 2023 NWSL season would be her final act on the field, as she wanted to dedicate more time to hanging out with her two little ones.
A source told People on Wednesday: ‘Although it’s new information to the public, Ashlyn and Ali’s divorce began months ago and they have been living apart since the summer’.

Sophia and Grant decided to go their separate ways just seven weeks after celebrating their first anniversary.
At the time, Sophia removed Grant’s last name from her Instagram bio and deleted photos of the couple.
A source told People: ‘Sophia and Grant were friends for 10 years and bonded during COVID through their love of community service.

In June, Sophia described marrying Grant – who proposed less than a year before they tied the knot – to be the ‘best decision’ of her life.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, the star shared a black and white photo from their wedding and wrote: ‘Today marks 365 days of calling you “husband”.
