She spent a decade trying to make it in Hollywood, and also found love with ex-fiance and Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden.
But after two years together, Sophie Monk revealed they amicably broke up, contrary to past reports that socialite and hotel heiress Paris Hilton had ‘stolen’ him.

The Australian singer and actress that it was after she and Madden went their separate ways that her public profile gained traction thanks to Paris dating her ex.
Despite her brief and limited connection to the hotel socialite, Sophie was also constantly on the cover of magazines.
‘All of a sudden, I looked like a socialite, just from dating someone who was dating her. It changed everyone’s perspective of me and my brand.’

She told the publication it was a really tough time for her emotionally living in Los Angeles on her own, and in particular finding work.
However, she did manage to land small roles on the 2006 film Click! and Date Movie.
Aside from Madden, Sophie has also been linked to a number of high profile men including Jason Statham, Ryan Seacrest and Sam Worthington.

‘There are no rules for celebrities. Everyone is a brat. Everyone is trying to sell themselves all the time because they are so insecure, so you become insecure,’ she said.
The blonde beauty adding that the constant cycle of pitching yourself makes one realise you don’t like who you are.
