Sophie Monk’s millionaire ex-boyfriend Stu Laundy admits to stealing flowers from gravesites

He’s a third generation pub baron and heir to a $400 million fortune.

But Stu Laundy was admittedly stingy back in the day, when it came to his dating life.

Speaking on Sami Lukis’ podcast, Romantically Challenged, on Wednesday, the 45-year-old confessed to stealing flowers from gravesites to give to women on dates when he was younger.

‘I didn’t think anyone would notice’: Sophie Monk’s millionaire ex-boyfriend Stu Laundy admits to stealing flowers from gravesites to give to women on dates

‘I’ll tell you a funny story with flowers, when I was a kid I didn’t live far from Rookwood cemetery,’ he began.

‘That was always where I would drive through to get to work so I had free flowers basically.’

Radio host Sami expressed her shock and asked: ‘What? You used to steal flowers from gravesites to give to girls you were dating?’

Stu laughed and replied, ‘I’ll give you a name Mrs Smith, may she rest in peace, she had a lot of visitors and always a lot of flowers.’

A stunned Sami called the millionaire a ‘frickin’ tight-arse’ as he tried to explain himself.

‘She was a very popular lady, there were so many flowers I didn’t think Mrs Smith would notice some missing.’

Last week, the father-of-four told Who magazine why his relationship with the former Bardot singer never worked out.

‘Whenever Sophie and I saw each other, there was always a fair few drinks involved,’ he said. ‘Part of that is her life… That whole world, the socialising, alcohol and plenty of cigarettes.’

Stu also said that, contrary to reports, his ‘partying’ was not a factor in the breakup.

‘I was not a party boy. If I’m having a few drinks I’ll have a cigarette or two. Luckily for me, I’ve never taken it up full-time,’ he added.
