Sophie Rundle reveals she’s purchased a ‘spooky’ house in the countryside

She gave birth to her first child with partner Matt Stokoe in April.

And Sophie Rundle has now taken another big step by purchasing a ‘spooky old home in the countryside’ as she revealed plans to transoform it into her dream home.

The Peaky Blinders actress, 33, shared a sweet snap of herself feeding her son while sat on some steps in her new garden with the beautiful home in the background.

The large white house boasted several windows with beautiful sage green shutters and a slightly unloved orangery.

Bushes surrounding the house appeared a little overgrown and plants needed some tending to at the idyllic property.

Sophie looked every inch doting mother wearing a long denim dress as she fed a bottle of milk to her two-month-old son.

She captioned the image: ‘Sold up and bought this big, beautiful, slightly spooky old house in the countryside. Anyone out there handy at house restoration… err maybe you could raise your hands?’

It comes after Sophie revealed she returned to work on the Peaky Blinders set just four weeks after giving birth to her son.

The actress, who plays Ada in the show, took to Instagram on last month to post a snap of her doing a quick nappy change in her trailer in between takes for the drama’s sixth and final season.

In a candid caption, Sophie penned: ‘I went back to work on Peaky Blinders four weeks after giving birth to my son. This is me – sleep deprived and slightly delirious changing a nappy in my trailer in between scenes.’

Looking glamorous in her 1920s costume and hair net, Sophie laid her son on the sofa in her trailer so she could quickly change him before returning to set.

The working mum explained to her fans: ‘It’s been the most exhausting and challenging thing I’ve ever done but worth it to finish off this batsh*t crazy, brilliant show and say goodbye to this character that I love so much.

‘To the Peaky cast and crew who welcomed me and my little one back into the fold and pretended not to notice my impossibly deep eye bags – thank you.

‘So long Ada. l will miss your wild Shelby gypsy heart, your don’t f**k with me attitude and your fabulous wardrobe. It’s been a ride.’

Dressed in stylish red heels and a sweet circle print puff-sleeved dress, Sophie looked far from delirious as she juggled her acting career with motherhood.

And earlier this year, away from the studio, Sophie gave fans another honest insight into her life as a parent.

She playfully wrote: ‘Life these days = Everything one handed, permanent stinky butt somewhere near my face. What is a hair brush?’

The actress then joked: ‘Good morning from a new mum, her excellent hair and her demon offspring.’

Sophie posed in her mirror at home as she sweetly held her newborn son on her shoulder and put a ‘cute but psycho’ GIF over his face.

She quipped in full on her caption: ‘Good morning from a new mum, her excellent hair and her demon offspring who apparently requires no sleep, only the life force of his beloved parents.’

Sophie confirmed the arrival of her newborn son by sharing a sweet snap on her Instagram page on April 11.

She wrote alongside the image: ‘Our little boy, who arrived safely and happily over the Easter weekend and changed the game forever.’

‘My little egg. My overflowing, grateful heart.’

The sixth season of Peaky Blinders resumed filming in January after the show was forced to shut down set last March due to the coronavirus crisis.

Steven Knight confirmed that the show would be coming to an end, but reassured fans that ‘the story will continue in another form’.

‘We believe this will be the best series of all and are sure that our amazing fans will love it. While the TV series will be coming to an end, the story will continue in another form.’

Meanwhile, Executive Producer for the BBC Tommy Bulfin said of the show: ‘We are very excited that filming for Peaky Blinders has begun and so grateful to everyone for all their hard work to make it happen.

‘Steve’s scripts for series six are truly remarkable and provide a fitting send-off which we are sure will delight fans.’

Steven also wrote the scripts for the sixth series, while Anthony Byrne is set to return as director after doing so in the last season.
