Sophie Wessex visits Dhekelia with Prince Edward

Sophie Wessex looked chic and cool as she subtly integrated the colours of Cyprus’ flag into her outfit during a visit to Dhekelia with her husband Prince Edward.

The royal couple are on a  three-day visit to the country, and the Sovereign Base Areas of Akrotiri and Dhekelia.

Today, Sophie, 57, and Edward, 58, visited the Dhekelia Operations Centre, where they were snapped chatting with military personnel and children.

Sophie wore dark green trousers, printed with an abstract floral motif, featuring orange leaves. She paired them with a nude short sleeved top, a loose beige blazer, and practical wedge heels.

Her blonde locks were swept back into a casual, low chignon, and she wore minimal make-up for the visit, pairing fresh skin with light eyeshadow and a natural lip.

Meanwhile, Edward looked smart but casual, in pale slacks, paired with a light grey blazer, and a shirt with no tie.

Their trip is designed to ‘celebrate the ties of friendship’ between the UK and the fellow Commonwealth state, and show support for the British Armed Forces based overseas.

This is the second diplomatic outfit donned by the royal during the visit: yesterday she opted for a  white dress with orange and pink polka dots as she and Prince Edward kicked off their tour.
