South Australian prisoners accused of running clothing company from Mount Gambier Prison

A prisoner who brutally attacked his ex-girlfriend and her new partner is allegedly operating a clothing business from behind bars.

A Facebook page that sells clothing branded with obscene slogans such as ‘F*** the law’ and ‘Full time Loco’ has been encouraging its followers to submit competition entries to the Mount Gambier Prison.

‘Competition time peoples. We want to see your best art work with FTL. The winner will win a piece of FTL clothing. Also the winner will be chosen from the Manace himself,’ the business posted on Facebook.

‘Here’s how to enter… Do your best artwork, write what’s your favourite thing about FTL and your size and send it,’ the post reads before listing the address of the prison.

It’s understood that the competition’s judge is a former prison guard who is currently serving two-and-a-half years after attacking his ex-girlfriend and her partner.

‘He’s inviting people through the Facebook page that’s attached to this business, he’s inviting people to send material to his prison cell,’ opposition spokesman Lee Odenwalder said, according to 9News.

‘This person should be in prison paying the price for their crimes and not profiting from a business,’ he said of the of the 38-year-old prisoner, who for legal reasons cannot be named.

The brand sells its adult hoodies for $50 and also offers a G-rated kids version for $40.  Just over 1,200 people like the company’s Facebook page.

It’s understood SA Police are investigating the claims.
