South Side Story star ‘stole £22k from Harrods in scam’

Two aspiring musicians who starred on the BBC reality show South Side Story are facing trial over an alleged reward card fraud at Harrods.

Jodie Drayan – who worked at the luxury store – and Rachelle Findlay both appeared on the 2015 show that followed London singers trying to forge their careers.

Drayan, 26, is accused of swindling more than £22,000 from the west London shop by loading money onto reward cards.

She is said to have put £3,771 on a card that 31-year-old Findlay – of Buckhurst Hill, Essex – was then able to use.

Harrods conducted an investigation into Drayan – from Romford, east London – between November 2015 and January 2016, before alerting police.

Appearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, Drayan denied eight counts of fraud by abuse of position.
