Sovereign citizen is brutally slapped down by a cop as he’s pulled over for a random breath test: ‘This isn’t America, mate’

  • A man was pulled over for a breath test in NSW
  • He argued with police before driving away

A ‘sovereign citizen’ who was pulled over by police has been given a no-nonsense serve after he refused to comply with a random breath test.

After demanding to see the officer’s badge number, he was bluntly told:  ‘This isn’t America, mate’.

The Victorian man was driving in NSW when he was stopped for an RBT by police. Footage of the incident, filmed by a passenger in the car, was uploaded to a ‘cooker watch’ social media page on Monday.

The vision shows a single police officer apporach the driver’s side of the vehicle.

The driver appears calm at first and asks: ‘What is the emergency today officer and how can I help?’

‘Just stopping you for a random breath test,’ the police officer responds.

The officer informs the driver he is wearing a camera on him and that ‘everything is recorded’.

After asking again to see the man’s driver’s licence the officer requests the driver open his door so he doesn’t have to reach in via the opened rear window where a dog sits on the back seat.

‘I don’t want to put my hand in there and that dog bite me,’ he says.

The driver then appears frustrated and raises his voice.

‘Just give me the f****** machine mate,’ he says.

‘I’ll blow in the f****** bag and then I’ll go’.

At one point, either the driver or passenger can be heard asking an officer standing on the footpath next to the car for their ‘badge number’.

The officer replies that he he doesn’t have one.

‘This is not America mate,’ he tells the men in the car.

The policeman repeats his request to see the man’s licence but the driver continues to yell.

‘I’ve done nothing wrong,’ he says.

‘There’s no emergency here, you’ve just pulled me over because I’m a Victorian number plate in your town.’

The officer can be heard calling for back-up on his walkie-talkie.

The officer and the driver then get into an argument about the moments leading up to him being pulled over.

After being asked yet again to hand over his licence, the man finally agrees but he is not happy about it.

‘Hurry the f*** up mate,’ he says.

‘Don’t f****** snatch it you childish little f***’.

The police officer asks the driver if he had consumed any alcohol on the day to which the man replied ‘no’.

”That’s why I’m p*****,’ he says.

Several more police cars and officers then arrive at the scene as back-up.

The pair continue to heckle police as they drive away.
