A two-time WWW Hall of Famer will reportedly make his return after a 22-year absence at Royal Rumble, with two former world champions also expected to return.  

According to PWInsider, Sean “X-Pac” Waltman has been lined up to be a surprise entry at the 37th annual Royal Rumble.

The 51-year-old had reportedly been seen at the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando, sparking suggestions he could make a return.

Waltman, who was elected to the Hall of Fame as a member of D-Generation X and the New World Order in 2019 and 2020, has not appeared in a WWE match since 2000.

With Royal Rumble taking place on January 27 in Florida, Waltman has sought to deny the suggestions he is ready to make a return.

‘I can still go at the drop of hat, at least for a few minutes,’ he posted on social media.

‘I can do all my kicks, except the one in the corner & I can do that again with a few weeks training.

‘I’m at least month away from taking my shirt off in public, so zero chance I’ll be in the Rumble.’

Former world champions Liv Morgan and Naomi have also been tipped to feature in the Royal Rumble.

Morgan has been out of action for several months after sustaining a with a shoulder injury in July.

The 29-year-old, who made her main roster debut as a member of the ‘Riot Squad’ on 2017 alongside Ruby Riott, won the women’s Money in the Bank match in 2022.

She cashed in and defeated Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship later in the same evening.

She has also held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles alongside her then partner Raquel Rodriguez.

Naomi has not featured in WWE since walking out of the Monday Night Raw in May 2022 over creative differences with the promotion.

The two-time SmackDown Women’s Championship winner and Tag Team champion has since featured in Impact/TNA Wrestling as Trinty.
