A Sydney sports coach has been charged with grooming a 15-year-old boy he met at an interstate tournament.
The 24-year-old Manly man was arrested by detectives from the State Crime Command’s Sex Crimes Squad at a golf course on the northern beaches just after 1pm on Thursday following a referral from Victoria Police.
Police say the man met the teenager at an interstate sports event and began engaging with him on social media, when he made sexually-explicit comments.

He was taken to Dee Why Police Station, where he was charged with use carriage service to transmit indecent communication to a person under 16 and use carriage service for child pornography material (solicit).
Shortly after the arrest, investigators carried out a search warrant at a home in Manly, where they seized a computer, electronic storage devices and a mobile phone.
He has been granted strict conditional bail to appear at Manly Local Court on October 25.
Inquiries are continuing.
