The heat will be fully on today as the Lionesses take on Spain in the FIFA Women’s World Cup final in Australia.
Unfortunately one little fan won’t be there to watch the action in person – Princess Charlotte, who at eight-years-old already appears to be a serious sports fan.
However, the young royal and her father Prince William made sure to wish the team ‘good luck’ ahead of the big game in a video shared on the Wales’ social media – and Charlotte certainly took the opportunity to make a fashion statement while doing so.
The eight-year-old opted for a high street look for the clip, mixing affordable pieces to create an adorably chic ensemble.
First up, was a £5 Next ‘pretty sleeve’ short sleeve t-shirt, with a blue and white nautical-style striped print.
Prince William and Princess Charlotte send a ‘good luck’ message to the Lionesses ahead of their absence from the Women’s World Cup Final today
The sporty princess looked adorably chic in a look fresh off the high street, starting with a £5 Next ‘pretty sleeve’ short sleeve t-shirt (T-shirt pictured)
The budget-wise top was perhaps picked out by Charlotte’s mother Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, who’s well known for her thrifty sense of fashion.
Regrettably, as the t-shirt is no longer available on the UK website, fans will not be able to pick up their own version.
Charlotte paired the t-shirt with a classic pair of blue denim shorts from Spanish retailer Sfera, a brand known for its affordable fashion.
The distressed denim shorts feature five pockets alongside a frayed hem, and will set you back around £11.
The combo was perfectly teamed with a pair of Nike Revolution 5 girls shoes in grey, white and pink.
The stylish trainers are listed at various retailers for £25, taking the entire cost of the sporty get up to just over £40.
Finishing off the look, Charlotte’s locks were neatly styled into a down do, and brushed away from her face.
And adding a touch of fun, the eight-year-old sported a adorable, beaded bracelets on her wrist.
The junior princess’s excitement was unmissable as she displayed a huge grin while posing alongside her father. And in staunch support of the Lionesses, she also clutched a large football.
In the clip posted on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ social media account, Prince William also apologised for not attending the World Cup final to cheer on the Lionesses.
Palace sources claim he was concerned about his carbon footprint and the diplomatic ramifications of going to Australia.

William said: ‘Lionesses, I want to send you a huge good luck for tomorrow.
‘We’re sorry we can’t be there in person but we’re so proud of everything you have achieved and the millions you’ve inspired here and around the world. So go out there tomorrow and really enjoy yourselves.’
A beaming Charlotte, added: ‘Good luck Lionesses!’
The Lionesses, who have made the semi-final in the last three World Cups, are in the final for the first time in their history, after superb goals from Ella Toone, Lauren Hemp and Alessia Russo secured a 3-1 win against the Matildas.
England have not won the World Cup since the men’s team took the trophy home in 1966.
