Spotify fans share VERY on-the-nose ‘pandemic playlists’ in honor of COVID-19

Spotify users are turning to music to get them through coronavirus quarantines — both mandatory and self-imposed — and have shared their very appropriate playlists on Twitter.

Some songs have proven incredibly popular, turning up on dozens of playlists thanks to their extremely relevant titles.

Favorites include ‘Sicko Mode’ by Travis Scott, ‘Toxic’ by Britney Spears, and ‘U Can’t Touch This’ by MC Hammer.

One man named Sage Boggs took a different tactic with his ‘pandemic playlist,’ spelling out a message with song titles.

His playlist includes tunes by Post Malone, Bon Iver, Mac Miller, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, The Beatles, Arctic Monkeys, Kelly Clarkson, Frank Ocean, and Billy Eilish.

Listed in order, the titles create a message that reads: ‘Stay inside. Wash hands often, even if you don’t feel sicko mode. Because other people at risk because of you. Anyways, stay safe, Forrest Gump, I love you.’

As for Forrest Gump himself, Tom Hanks is currently in quarantine in Australia after he and his wife Rita Wilson tested positive for the virus.

Rita, 63, is also getting in on the playlist fun, and tweeted earlier today: ‘Hi guys!I want to make a @Spotify playlist for people self quarantining. Something that might relate to isolation, perhaps? 

‘Can you send some song ideas that I can add? Also, what should we call it?Quarantine Choruses? This is what one does in quarantine. Uthink of stuff like this.’

She ended up settling on Quarantunes, and included songs like ‘Lonely People’ by America, ‘So Far Away’ by Carole King, and ‘Rockin’ Pneumonia And The Boogie Woogie Flu’ by Johnny Rivers.

She also included a few songs she sang herself, including a cover of ‘Leaving on a Jet Plane.’
