One of Bill Cosby’s accusers has filed a new lawsuit in New York against the disgraced comedian, accusing him of drugging and raping her in 1986 when she was 21 and an aspiring actor and model.
Stacey Pinkerton’s lawsuit was filed in Manhattan Supreme Court on Friday and in response, one of Cosby’s representatives has said that the move is nothing to do with justice but is ‘all about money.’
The comedian’s long time representative Andrew Wyatt told TMZ, ‘Unwilling to accept that Actor & Comedian Bill Cosby was vindicated by the PA State Supreme Court almost a year and a half ago, Ms. Pinkerton has decided to join Ms. Allred’s entourage of alleged accusers.’
He continued, ‘As we have always stated, and now America can see, this isn’t about justice for victims of alleged sexual assault, it’s ALL ABOUT MONEY. We believe that the courts, as well as the court of public opinion, will follow the rules of law and relieve Mr. Cosby of these alleged accusations.’
The latest accusation against the disgraced comedian comes just days after he announced he wants to begin touring again in 2023.

Cosby has faced dozens of accusations of drugging and raping women over the last decade, all of which he has vehemently denied. In 2018, he was sentenced to ten years in prison on sexual assault charges in Pennsylvania but was freed thanks to a technicality.
In response, Cosby’s reps point to his acquittal and other failed lawsuits against him as proof that Pinkerton’s lawsuit is nothing more than a money grab.
Wyatt said, ‘Mr. Cosby continues to vehemently deny all allegations waged against him and looks forward to defending himself in court.’
Pinkerton says in the suit that she was 21 years old when she met Cosby. She alleges that he invited her to New York City, where he was filming his eponymous sitcom.
While in New York, Pinkerton said that she was given money, a place to live and a small role in the Cosby Show, her part was eventually cut. The episode was titled An Early Spring and aired on March 20, 1986 as the 21st episode of the show’s second season.
Later in 1986, Pinkerton says that Cosby arranged for her to meet him for dinner in an Italian restaurant in Chicago. It was there that she says the comedian drugged her food and bungled her into a car headed for the luxurious Drake Hotel in Chicago.
Pinkerton has been pictured at rallies against Cosby but had not previously been specific about her allegations.

While she was passed out, Pinkerton says that she was sexually assaulted and ‘was incapable of consent by reason of being physically helpless.’ She says that she escaped the room hours later as Cosby slept.
In the time that followed, Pinkerton said that she was silenced by Cosby thanks to his ‘power and influence.’ A few months after the assault, she was invited to see Cosby perform stand-up.
She says in the suit that she planned to confront Cosby but became angry when he groped her and forcibly kissed her. Pinkerton was taken from the theater by security staff as she started yelling at him, the lawsuit says.
Pinkerton is also filing suit against NBC, Kaufman Astoria Studios and the Carsey Werner Company, accusing them of helping to facilitate Cosby’s behavior.
Despite the alleged assault occurring 36 years ago, Pinkerton is protected under New York’s recently passed Adult Survivor’s Act that allows rape victims to file lawsuits against their attackers outside of the statute of limitations.

Earlier this month, five women – Lili Bernard, Eden Tirl, Jewel Gittens, Jennifer Thompson, and Cindra Ladd – launched a different lawsuit against Cosby.
They allege that the comedian ‘used his power, fame, and prestige’ in ‘a nefarious, horrific way’ to abuse them.
They claim that the companies involved in the show ‘enabled and aided’ Cosby’s sexual assaults.
‘Over the course of several decades, Bill Cosby engaged in the serial sexual assault of dozens of women for his sexual gratification while the co-defendants enabled and aided these sexual assaults to benefit financially by their association with Bill Cosby,’ the lawsuit states.
Two of the five – Bernard and Tirl – were actresses on The Cosby Show.

Cosby for his part, shocked the world by announcing that he plans to tour in the Spring and Summer of 2023.
He made the claim during a surprise appearance on WGH Talk, Variety reported Wednesday.
‘Yes. Yes, because there’s so much fun to be had in this storytelling that I do. Years ago, maybe 10 years ago, I found it was better to say it after I write it,’ he said when asked if he might begin touring again next year.
‘When I come out of this, I feel that I will be able to perform and be the Bill Cosby that my audience knows me to be,’ he said.
